Life isn't fair, but don't take the little moments for granted"

Well it's been a little while since I've posted. There has been a lot going on! Where to start?

Thanksgiving. I loved it. It was alot smaller then most we have, not near all of our family but still awesome. Got to see lots of cousins, play basketball with my uncles, and eat amazing food. Yes I even got some of my grandma's famous lemon merg. pie! AMAZING :)

School. Well only one more week of regular classes after this weekend then finals round 3. Never gets easier or less stressful the more you take them, I think it gets worse! I have a math final, english final, sociology final, and computers final. Not alot but dang I think it might kill me! Then work on top of that.

The best part. Tuesday morning during math class I got the call that my cousin Mike Meeks had passed away earlier that morning. I thought I could hold it together but I was crying all day, ditched classes the next day, and plowed through the rest of the week. My amazing co-workers covered my shifts this weekend so I could have the oppurtunity to come home and be with my family. My heart hurts for his kids and wife, he was an amazing, loveable man with a contagious laugh. I'll miss him dearly but I know he is fishing something fierce with his dad now. Just a year apart, it's been rough for everyone. The funeral was amazing, so grateful to those who supported and helped the family through everything. It's not always fun to just get to see your family for funerals, but under the circumstances it was great. I really love my family and like my Aunt Helen says "Life isn't fair, but don't take the little moments for granted".

My Great Uncle Kez on the left, and Mike on the right. This is dedicated to both of you amazing men. The road goes on, we will see you again.

Some people drink from glasses, we drink from mason jars!

After weeks and weeks of stress, papers, and landing a job, I, Jolene Findlay, FINALLY got to go home! It was such a good weekend :)

I got to see my family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends! What more do people need? We had a huge family dinner while I was home and ate some homemade shredded beef tacos..mmmm so good!

We also got to go support Katy's little brother Afton at his highschool rodeo, it was great to watch him, and see an old friend COLE!

It wouldn't be home without dried fruit, fresh fruit, and meals cooked in huge pots :)

While visitin our friends family, I creeped on my own studly cousin Dillon..he is a beast!

You can see ZION in the distance on our way to the rodeo

Tyler and Haydens moment...awkward.

Bonfire

Haydens ALWAYS watching

OZZY! He gained weight, looking good!

Getting ready to go ride.

<3

Me, Hayden, and Katy. We are so cute!

Well there is not much else to write. I love my family. I love my friends. I love Fredonia and all that's around it. AND I HAD SO MUCH FUN:) Can't wait to go back for Thanksgiving...and move back up north for that fact! We may be small town kids, we may not be rich, we may not dress the nicest, but we have eachother, manners, and sarcasm. I'd say we have it good! <3 FREDONIA!

Because I'm worth It...

So much has happened in the past week!!!

HA.

We all know that is a big fat lie. We live in Thatcher and not a whole lot has gone down since I last updated you with my splendid life!

My wonderful friends Toni Lynn, Logan, and Diedra drove all the way from home (Fredonia) to Thatcher to come play with us for a weekend. I felt super bad..not a whole lot went down, but it was great to see them and catch up! Love them long time, because that's not just a super fun drive to make!

The best note of the whole blog update this week...I SCORED A JOB! It's not high paying, or the nicest botique or whatever...but it'll be fun. Thank you Pima Taylor Freeze for so kindly hiring me!

Halloween came and went. It wasn't spectacular or anything. Didn't go trick or' treating, didn't blow anything up, didn't do mento's and coke. . . But we decided to get "dressed" up anyways and head on over to the Goodman appartments, and attend their "dance party". Not much to say other then I miss last year, ALOT :)

Our Halloween get up'...we like to recycle :)

Spenny and I...what studs!

Following that...my beautiful friend Taylor Smith, HAD to inform me of the most wondeful invention ever. Since...I have a billon weiner dogs and all ;) ....

Also my beautiful friend Shelby Dawn sealed the knot with her best friend. I am uber sad I missed it, but I just have so much English to work on its ridiculous! This paper, may, be, the DEATH of me. So as it was her wedding weekend, my roommate left town to attend..leaving me, lonely, in my room, by myself. So me, thinking I had no more friends, tried to go to bed early. BUT if you know me, you know I can't sleep haha..so that was a big fat joke. Instead my friend came over and got me..(thank goodness for friends!) and we went and did this instead...

They really do love eachother...

SO in conclusion to my pitifully, boring, wondeful, crazy life...BASKETBALL SEASON STARTED :)

Anyone who is anyone knows I GO CRAZY at the games, I just get way into sports, Thank you Heaton family for the wondeful competitive side..haha not, and I love my friends that play!!! And miss my old ones that used to play...JERBEAR :)

There ya have it. An update on the so busy life of a college student in ThatchNasty.

Peace, Love <3 & Cowboy Butts!

What comes before Part B? ...PARTAAAAYY!

Fall. MOST AMAZING SEASON EVER! Bonfires, friends, sweatshirts and...pumpkins :) The roommates, Sara, and I set out on an epic battle of pumpkin vs. knives!

The adventure started off in Walmart. What a wondeful town, we have a walmart 3 minutes down the road! Back home in good ol' Fredonia our closest Walmart was a little over an hour away. So you can see our excitment in having one so close. Weird excitment? Yes, but it's amazing. So back to the story, we picked out the greatest pumpkins Walmart had to offer, grabbed some grub, checked out, hit the road and went home. We rushed to get the knives and pans and bowls and got to work!

Let me tell ya a little something about college students. We are poor, and cheap. Yes, sad fact, but sooo true. We didn't buy pumpkin carving tools so we tried to get the job done with steak knives and Mason Jar lids. Suprisingly was very successful and very fun! Jamming out, eating, and carving Pumpkins ='s one of the best Fall nights EAC has offered us this semester!

Megan, Me, Alec, and Sara! We had to document the start of a great night :)

Showing off their FIINNE pumpkins

Homemade snacks..ya, they are that good.

Sara is so cute, I love ruining her moments :)

So there ya have it. Another wondeful night in ThatchNasty! We gotta stay busy somehow :) Now for dinner in a pumpkin tonight and a fun Halloween filled weekend :)!!

Peace out girl scouts.

Yeaaa Buddy, Rolling Like A Big Shot!

This my friends is what we call addiction. Kind of like popcorn, sweatshirts, smelling good and, being awesome. It's just things we can't help because we love it to much. I can't help it. This blog is just sucking me in. BUT I lufff it.

Well on this frisk fall night, while protecting the civilians "or prison members" of the EAC Towers (haha get it..see what I did there), my good buddy Victoria and I were reflecting on our past weeks. I thought "Hey...my facebookers, and fellow bloggers would LOVE to know how much we didn't do"! So instead of boring you with our non-adventurous times (haha which now you will never know if i'm lying or not, cause maybe it really was), I decided..what better way to update people then with pictures!?

Evidence one that we are FRIGGEN legit, while having nothing to do..

Dos. Sometimes we do useless productive tricks!

Nuff said.

No worries. These are just a few of the magnificent times. But I might need to inform some people of the next picture. No we don't like to just hold random thongs in our hands while looking cute. That'd just be weird, and creepy. Our "sister" Julie Ann Raban decided to not come back to this wondeful land of EA and to stay at home in St. Johns so she can marry her soulmate Tret. Eff. We are sad and SUPER DUPER excited for her :) Victoria and I got the honors of spending a weekend with her before her big day in December for her bridal shower. Explaining the chonies.

Shout out to our Beautiful friend Julie Ann, it's her birthday today!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVE

I would blog on the wondeful shirts that me and the AMAZING Lexi made but she already has and I wouldn't wanna take away from her amazing blog. And if you don't follow her blog..well eff you life stinks cause it's so good! It's alaways nice to have more girls around haha.

On that note, in the closing of my beautiful, crazy, completely weird, messed up, and complicated life, i'd like to say a few things.

1. I love my family more then anything. Family consists of those back home blood related to me, and the family of friends I have made here. They are amazing and are one in a million.
2. I've come to the conclusion that I love the gospel. It took me a long time to find it out for myself, and it's still growing..but that's something I have to work on. And the support I have here is amazing! I had the oppurtunity to get my P Blessing at the begining of the semster. MIND BLOWING. That is all :).
3. Working out is the greatest stress and anger relief ever.
4. Guys are super lame, and I dis-like them with a HUGE passion...they mess my brain up. Haha...go figure right, like we haven't had that happen before.
5. Oh also a shout out to Victoria Skousen (She's forcing me to do this or she will spill her nasty vicks honey medicine on my beautiful laptop Sean Paul). Rude right? Haha if that were true she'd just get a punch to the face. Good thing I kid right :)! But Yes..I love her dos.
Last but not least 6. Honor bright is amazing. That is all!

Now that i've written about nothing and you've read all this jibberish I guess I'll give a shout out to the rest of my friends..I love you guys too and remember if I don't..someone might..or not. Whatever :)! PEACE LOVE AND COWBOYS........ :)
Good night from the weirdos :)

Whose up for round 2 ?!?!

I broke down. I got the all amazing thing people call "blog" although its very confusing for a small town girl with tecnology difficulties!! Haha i'll try my best, but no judgements..it's all I got!

Whelp here we are again! Yet another crazy, beautiful, boring, and stressful year at EAC. Yes..EAC, Eastern Arizona College, not East Australian Current contrary to popular belief. But before that lets back up a little to the summer.

I finished finals and rushed back to our Beautiful friend Kensi's wedding! Oh what a crazy weekend, haha getting ready, setting up churches, keeping people pleased with our smiles at the sign in door, and being there for our friend :) She looke beautiful and we are glad Mr. Limb can now be part of our crazy lives too! He fits right in...haha poor kid.

After all that crazyness it was relax at the Parentals for a weekend, pack up and move up North an hour to the wonderful land of the Zion Ponderosa Ranch..Oh the ZP. What can I post about that ...place. Haha. Shucks I don't know. Bitter sweet that is for sure! I worked as a Wrangler in the wonderful Wrangler land with the AMAZING boss Guy Ballard. Oh how I respect that man! Getting the chance to work with the wondeful Leah Greene also..Good times:) Now Leah was our accident prone..praise the lord it wasn't me for once! Haha concusion and broken teeth, and wondeful me getting the Honors of taking her to St. G to have her wisdom teeth out. All I can say is that girl is dang funny on drugs!

Even though the Wranglers ARE THE COOLEST people at the ZP there were others who almost met the bar :). Oh how I loved some of the other staff. Mostly the Rec Guides, and the lovely gift store clerk Tammi! My room consisted of 4 girls for a while, and we all grew so close! Taylor Smith, Taylor Bluth, and Tammi C! Crazy nights of Leah coming up to our room, hyperness of movies, and hurdling pipes..haha I'll never forget them! Everyone was family, the boys, the girls, even the managers of our sections! We were all so happy, even though some moments were hard, and some people were crazy, and the pay wasn't the best, we got to work out side, ride horses all day, canyonering, zipline, rock wall, atv tours...Who else gets the honor of playing for work?!

The Group Celebrating Taylor's Birthday

The Famous Guy Ballard :) (no worries, he just got done with the dolly parton race)

Zion National Park

The wonderful girls in the best room ever

The creep bird from the "haunted zoo"

What to say?! We hated it, we loved it, but we are family and i'll always love them! We learned so much about life, and eachother, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Back to EAC. Haha round 2?! Yes sir. Miss lots of my friends from last year but there are lots of new ones here that I love too! Already half way through can you believe it?! People engaged, people married, people dating and breaking up! What do ya do? Haha oh that's life. I miss my old house and my roommates, and my ward, but I am loving the new adventure of Howards. I can honestly say I've never missed my hometown of Fredonia more, or my family! I miss going to my Grandparents every sunday for dinner and having cousins everywhere you go. My Family is my best friends. Crazy, loud, rough housing, sarcastic, bloody noses and black eyes. But I wouldn't trade them for the world...money...or love! We are the closest family I know! I may not see them alot..or ever haha or talk to them everyday, but they are on my mind alot! I get the chance to live close to my nephew though and we sure have fun!

The Grand Parents...tender <3

Well shucks...I don't have much to say, but there will be more to come when I can settle on a subject to talk about instead of just catching up! Remember..my first blog, and my first post..no judgement :)
